The Agro-Chemical Park Piesteritz can be given different titles, but it cannot be ignored. With SKW Piesteritz as the core company, more than 51 companies have settled not far from Luther’s Wittenberg that form the first and so far only Piesteritz Agro-Chemical Park in Germany – with an unmatched level of networking.

Chemistry has been operated at this location for over 100 years. Here, fertilisers are produced that, thanks to research performed on site, become increasingly efficient both ecologically and economically. Here, biodiesel, valuable lecithin and pharmaceutical glycerine are produced from rapeseed. Melamine, which has become in indispensable part of many areas of daily life, is produced here. And high-purity carbon dioxide is liquefied here to be used in the food industry. So large quantities of AdBlue and any carbonic acid in mineral water may well come from Piesteritz.

At Agro-Chemical Park Piesteritz, there is a particular awareness of the responsibility for the youngest members of our society. HERE, the SKW Piesteritz Group has a total of three company children's facilities, an after-school care center and a health center.
